What do you guys all think about the new news about Micheal Jackson??? You think that he'll get off like pretty much every other superstar?

apparently he's in Las Vegas right now and his lawyers are talking to the cops about his "surrender" and transportation back to whatever county in CA has the warrent out for his arrest. And Marcia Clarke said on ET today (I normally don't watch...but thats what was on during my dinner time) that the family isn't going to just settle for some money....they're wanting to continue on with the criminal charges.

OH...and guys...I don't know that he likes older men. He might ask to get put in juvie if he's sentenced to jail. I think he likes 'em young.

I haven't really heard all of the story besides catching bits and pieces from the news, but do they actually have any proof or witnesses? I don't know what I think about the whole thing. I want to remember Michael Jackson the "King of Pop" instead of Michael Jackson the child molester.

He might get off but I'm not so sure. It sounds like that they've got alot more dirt on him this time. I've always thought he's been weird, never could describe it, just knew something was wrong and now this comes to light, again.

It's not that he got off last time, he reached an out of court settlement with the accuser last time. This time I think he's screwed.

What sick parent lets their child go see Jackson after the initial accusations nearly 10 years ago? Ugh.

Also, some woman was complaining on the radio today that Jackson was being prosecuted because he was a black male. Aren't there two problems with that statement?

ok on a serious note... this is only an accusation at this time, theres no evidence(as of last time i checked) that indicated he did anything wrong this time. im not denying it, but ffs give the guy a chance. he's a freak and i dont like him one bit, but dont be so persuaded by the media to not even think about whats going on

I think mostly what they're going to be basing this case on is the kid's accusations and the "secret room" that they were showing on TV today. It's kind of weird for a 40 something year old man to have a closed off/locked secret room with a whole bunch of adolecent boys hanging on the wall and what not. The police should send in the breifcase from that MTV show RoomRaiders and use the black light in there to see if anything was goin on in there that shouldn't have been. I'd be really happy if they said that he didn't molest this boy, but I don't know.....

I heard that this kid who Jackson abused had cancer and the kid wanted to meet Jackson (like make a wish foundation or something) so somehow Jackson went to meet this kid. But my question is why the hell would the parents leave Jackson with the kid alone. Thats ridiculous. I wouldnt leave my dog alone with that freak.

now seriously, the media covers it way too much. it happens a lot worse everyday everywhere and kids die after being molested, but media does not cover that, maybe so small article in a local newspaper or so. that's just wrong, at least how i see it

I'm with Chris. Just because he's a freak doesn't make him a pedophile. Remember last time he got charged? You really think as a parent you'd take a settlement if you really thought your kid was molested? That's great...put a price on your kid's emotional scarring. He's an easy target so why not hit him up? Even if they do take him to criminal court, no matter what the outcome you KNOW they're heading straight to civil court afterwards. I'll reserve my opinion until after I see one shred of evidence to the contrary. He's a f@ckin freak and I can't stand him...but that doesn't mean he's guilty.

It's a sad world and people do try to weasle money out of other folks who are considered "easy" targets. Since the allegations have been made before, then it's no surprise to most people that new ones have arisen. Public sentiment goes greatly against him, and he ends up either settling or runs a risk of getting convicted by a potentially biased jury.

If this kid actually had cancer....I wouldn't be surprised if the parents were doing it to get money to pay for treatment or their own suffering. I'm not saying that's the case, I'm just saying it's a possibility. It has been done before, and it'll be done again.

On a more joking note....it sounds like he already got off .....now he just may get off again.

hey it's the free country we live in...i dont like you so i'll sue!!!! but i heard the kid is willing to testify in court or something..and that he did have cancer...but i dunno michael is kinda weird. And of course we military members put our lives on the line so people have right to a fair trial. as it's said
It is the Soldier,
not the reporter who has given us freedom of press

It is the Soldier,
not the poet who has given us freedom of speech

It is the Soldier,
not the campus organizer who gives us freedom to demonstrate

It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
who serves beneath the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
who allows the protester to burn the flag.

ahh what a great world we live in

its checks and balances... if we didnt have the right to question what our government did what would stop them from moving from country to country taking what we need and destroying what we dont. we're strong enough to do it, we're corrupt enough to do it, and the rest of the world is too weak to stop us. its obvious we dont care what other countries think about us, we live in our own little world between the oceans.

sorry to go off on a rant, i respect the military and anyone who's willing to die for what they believe in

ona side note, the rest of the world may not be weak as you would think. If you think about it, sure we have a huge supply of weapons but if you take all the people that live around the world, the population of the US would not measure up. So we possibly may not be able to take on the rest of the world. In fact with the headstrong leadership we have we would end up destroying ourselves (ex: nuclear winter)
or maybe I'm just thinking too much
