street racing in iraq #3
it was about 10 at night and we were patrolling along in our highback and our hardback hummers. well this guy pulls up next to us in an orange and white cab. he wanted to race us. our driver,(having just gotten beaten by a horse), didn't really want to. he eventually did though. when we had gotten up to about 55 the other car was about half a car ahead of us when its engine exploded. not because of a bomb. just because it was a really old messed up piece of crap car that was being held together by string, bubble gum, and super glue. (i'm not kidding either) (major props to thier mechanics for keeping these cars running as long as they have) well the other car very quickly stopped because the explosion ripped the engine and transmission from the car, and they were now both blocking the rear wheels. so i guess we kinda won that by default.
