header + oxygen sensor
My car is a 95 Civic coupe with the sohc D16zc engine. A guy wants to sell me his used DC Sports header, but the bung for the oxygen sensor is at the bottom while mine is at the top. Does anyone have any experience with this? That is a reliable solution that will work.
Need qiuck answers. Thanks. |

just extend the o2 wires so its long enough to reach
(solder them...dont get cheap and only use e- tape) |

When you make your extension, cut as far away as possible from the sensor since the stock wires are already tempered for that application. Be cautious with that area. i was always told to solder...i mean the bulk of the wire's are touching...solder is just around it
its more secure than shrink tubes or tape |

in my instructions it recomends soldering them...
My best advice would be to... A. Cut it after the rubber grommet just below the harness plug (that way you can still run the wire that way (I actually found it easier to run without using the stock mount but it's a good option to have) B. Buy harness' (you could use the one off your old o2 sensor and go to a junkyard to get the opposite side of it from a car there) so you can just solder in the connectors to that... THAT WAY... you don't have to cut the o2 sensor wires at all... you just use the extenion cable... plugging it in at both ends...
