2 killed in street race...

last night 2cars full of retards were street racing IN A NEIGHBORHOOD.... like not even a 2 lane road... and one of the cars had 4 ppl in it .. and the other had 2.... the one that had 4 in it crashed and rolled over in somebodys front yard... and the other car dident wreck.... i hope the driver wasnt killed so he (or she) will have to live with this for the rest of there lives...

dont get me wrong i support street racing... on a empty road.... or in a busness complex somewhere.... but not in a neighborhood...

my condolences also... i really do fell bad for the famles of the ppl who were killed... but that was a really stuped thing to do... if i was rideing with somebody and they were like "hey i am going to race those dudes" i would reach over and turn off the car, and get out.... i would never race with anybody in my car... nor would i do it anywhare near ppl.. and this story is a perfict reason why i think this way....

Man, it really sucks anytime someone gets killed, racing or not, being stupid or not. My condolences to their families, and maybe someone will learn something from this.

There was just a street racing death around here this week. Two cars were racing and a woman pulled out in front of them (she died).

Also, over in Nevada, two BMW's were racing a couple of kids in a 350Z. The 350Z loss control and both kids were killed. They're looking for the drivers of the BMWs

Plain and simple, if you're going to street race, try not to get caught up in the moment and make stupid decisions.

Agreed.....it's just something stupid that doesn't need to happen nor take place...if a drivers dumb enough to do it why not stop and let everyone out....but obviously he doesn't believe it's his responsibility

thay need to open a public dragstip.... thats open to the public 24/7.. thay can charge like a couple of dollars to get in, and race all night if you want... if thay do that there wouldent be problems with street racers.... just like one in each state... mabe a couple for the bigger states.. like cali or texas, but yea thats what needs to be done! there are more ppl that street race than thay think... the race whare those ppl were killed at, there were like 50 or 60 ppl..... (but thay left and went to another street)... on friday night down here you see sooooooo many ppl that are just driving arond lookin for the races to start.... and huge groups sitting arond in parking lots... somethinh needs to be done. like i said i like streetracing.. but when ppl do stuped stuff thay mess it up for others..

ive gone over a year since my last street race.... never plan on doing it again.... ever. its not worth it.. i wont ride with my friends when they do that, and if they start being stupid in their cars, i'll tell them to stop being stupid or drive me to my car. i feel bad for the people who cared for those who died... they carelessly put others lives in jepordy just for 10 or 15 seconds of speed... no thank you. i'll drive like an old person and piss you off.

I don't really see how a 24 hour drag stip would work. It takes a crew to run the strip (tower operators, stagers, tech inspects, person to hand out the slips, person to line up the cars, etc.) Second, drag strips have a hard time making it and are usually part of a bigger racing complex (with other types of tracks).
Something that I am interested in something like Race Legal ( http://www.racelegal.com ) which gets a grant from the county to hold sanctioned drag races in public parking lots. It is one alternative to street racing. The other is to spend 10 days in jail and post a $1000 fine. Anyway, I am looking into that for this area, the only problem is that there is already one track here.
