Stinkin Snow!

Well today was our first real snow of the year, we got about 6 inches last night. (I know, a lot of you get a lot worse then that.)

But even though.. I hate snow. I live in a tiny town that is usually the last to get plowed. Needless to say, I should be put on the Cities payrole for my duties this morning.

Anyway.. When I get home today. I think Im going to break out the 4 wheeler and have a little fun it it since Its pissed me off already today.

yah I just got back in from the first shoveling...my sis and i went out about 8-8:30 to get a jump start on it...and we already have about 4-4.5 inches. I'm expecting to get about 7-10 . But for the first time in 4.5 years my university ACTUALLY cancelled classes for the entire day. I'm still in shock....

We're gonna go out later today to finish shoveling the rest of the snow that fell and build a snowman, and maybe do a lil sleddin.

It just started snowing this morning in Jersey and my ar$e is at work.
People sliding which-ever way and into each other. I swear it's like bumper cars here. I even slid a bit with my lil 91 Civic Dx. I was not about to drive my 03 Civic Si- oh no... specially if I'm still getting the hang of manual transmission. Thank goodness for my parent's garage- heh heh.

Now if I can only leave early to go make snow angels....

What ticks me off is the stupid people that tailgate on snow covered roads.. Are people that stupid? Granted I was driving slow but Id rather be safe then sorry! Not to mention the fact I didnt feel like ripping the exhaust out of the bottom of my car as I plow the snow..

I just hope my front lip is still there.. I didnt check that this morning..

This is the second storm that we've gotten since last Wednesday. And it sucks. I have not gotten to drive my car in 9 days now. I've been tooling around in my 90 Eldorado. Wooo. It's a big change going from my Honda to that. The Eldorado is really comfy though. I could have a party in it. RACING RICE - I hear ya. I live in the boonies that are plowed the last too. It's beat. I can't wait to go sledding though.

I love the snow. Time to put the Stang away for the winter. There is nothing better than walking out of work at night and having 3-4 inches of snow. Love it!

Lol, it snowed last term on the Oregon coast. Maybe a few inches in the mountains on the way back to school. 2 out of my 3 lab partners were on the coast and were too afraid to drive back through it to school.

I attempted to go to work, but no such luck! I couldn't make it up some dumb hill, and I felt really stupid cause I was holding traffic up and all the people with their trucks and SUVs who think they own the snow kept passing me. I got so frustrated!! Luckily a guy came up and suggested that if I absolutely didn't need to get to my destination that I turn back around and head home...so I did. Then I couldn't get up the hill at the entrance of my neighborhood, and again the same guy (who actually lives close to me) happened to be going home himself and helped me out again. He tried getting my car up the hill, but it didn't work for him either, so I just parked it and he drove me the rest of the way to my house. This just goes to show you that there ARE some decent people out there in the world. He was young and cute too....but married! Oh well!

Point to my story: I hate snow and my car sucks in snow!

I love the snow, but I damn it to hell when I dont have snow tires on my car. I almost didn't make it home from work. Gonna be fun going in tonight. There isn't anything worse than the SUV's tail gating you when you are driving in the snow. Alway temptin to tag the brakes and get a kit for my car

hehe rain just dont cut it bro.. sorry no snow for you

It's amazing how everyone becomes a bad driver in snowy conditions. Heres a hint for you people not use to the snow, if your just spinning out try starting off in 2nd gear (stick shouldn't be a problem and your auto should let you do this, at least mine does). Thats what i've been doing for the last year or so when the conditions are so bad that my traction control just flickers as i sit there. i turn the dam computer off put her in 2nd and we're off. Not to mention if your going real slow, like most of us do in the snowy weather just leave her in 2nd and you wont be sorry.

Lucky bastards who have snow.. can't wait till mine comes back... zum zum here i come...

well after shoveling our driveway 3 times, and then taking like an hour and a half each tryin to clear our cars out...we finally have everything mostly cleared off. My back and arms are killing me cuz I'm not used to using my muscles quite like that. Just tryin to figure out how I'm gonna get to work tomorrow

Oh and it's still flurryin a little outside right now...and to estimate how much we got at my house...about 11-12"
