Inner Fenders...

Just thought this was a funny story guys...

A few months ago I had to go to a salvage & get an inner fender for my car b/c I ran over mine and ripped it off. (Which is a whole 'nother story in itself LOL!) But, I went to this salvage & told them I needed a new inner fender for an '89 CRX-Si. They said 'ok' & told me to follow this 1 little grease monkey back to the yard.

I walked thru the back to follow this little guy while he was getting some tools & everyone in the back shop stopped what they were doing & stared at me like I was from another planet, it was SO funny! So, this guy gets his tools & takes me back to the CRX graveyard. Then he starts taking off a driver's side front fender. I let him do it for a minute amused...then I said "Uh, what are you doing?" He said "You wanted an inner fender right?" I told him yes & he just stands there with this glazed over look on his face.

I'm like "Um, the inner fender would be kind of the 'inside' of the actual fender...hence the name." He was like "O, ahaha..." I'm not amused at this point, so, he gets under the car to take this thing off & can't even figure out how to do it! I was stunned!

I ended up having to get under the car & take the thing off myself while this guy stood around watching me. Then when I get it off, I got up & noticed all the little grease monkeys from the back shop had come out to watch me....

Unbelievable! Some people!

Needless to say, I think that guy went home feelin like a B#%&*. Or I hope he did.

the thing that I needed was 'unscrewable', but this car had been wrecked obviously, so it was broken off where I could get the part that I needed.
See, my dad could weld everything together easily...but I needed the plastic thingie too. I ran over it all & lost it on a toll booth road. LOL!
Shoulda seen the cars behind me. They were like: :o
