valve cover
does anybody know what materials i need to ploish my valve cover. it is all ugly looking!!

check out some bike shops and get the stuff that those guys use to polish their frame. my friend did his bike frame and you gotta do a lotta sandin. i'd paint it but you'd be better off buyin a chrome one. i found the sohc ones online for $200.

Take it off, and take it to a machine shop, have then sand, and polish it, it will look mint...After you could even take it and have it dipped. Might cost you alittle less loot.

Do it yourself and save the money. It's easy. you sand it with progressively finner grits of sand paper. depending on how bad it is to start you start with 200-500 then move to 800-1000, then you can go higher, or just start polishing it. (if you don't have a dremel don't bother it'll take forever) use any good polishing compound. dremel sells a polishing kit that comes with everything you need.
