Darn GT3....help me out here

Ok, so I wasted a good hour and 45 last night running the Grand Valley 300km endurance race in my F090/s or whatever it's called. Nevermind that I lapped the others a pile during my 60 laps around....

Anyhow, I figured once I won that I'd get another nice brand spakin new indy car.....and when they were cycling through the shaded out cars that I could win there was a nice brand spakin new indy car.....but noooooooooooooooooooooo, it had to give me the friggin Spoon S2000 that I really don't need or want at this point in time.

So I didn't save my game so I could try again. Anyhow, does anybody know how it determines which car you win? Is it random or something? Because I don't want to waste another almost 2 hours of driving just to win something other than a fat daddy indy car. I've got tons of rides and only one is an indy, I need more indy!!!!!!

Needless to say, I was

So I ran the European Championship in Amateur with my indy just out of spite...and all I got was an Elise.

Holding down X gives me which car???? They're in the following pattern:

1
2 3
4

Usually it gives me 3.

hey buddy... you've got to hit "x" when the "circle" is under the car you want... since it moves quick, you've got to time it right... practice on a series that's short... save before the last race, go to the next one, then quit before the countdown to start begins... you'll win the tourney(assuming you had the most points to begin with) then you get your prize and try to pick the car you want...
if you get the wrong one, re-load the game without saving and repeat, thank you, drive thru...

Man, that's a pain in the ass to get the car you want. It seems like you have to hit x just before the circle is on the car you want. Getting a bad car after playing for almost 2 hours pisses me off.

I'll have to try the series trick.

I've noticed that in GT3 it seems like winning the race over and over won't keep giving new cars, is this true? People on granturismo.com have made comments about just running the races again to win more cars in GT3, but I haven't noticed that to work. I would post and ask there, but I don't have a non-web-based email to use with it....and thus can't register.

You can win the cars again and again for the series races, but not for the one-offs. e.g. if you can race each race individually and get a prize when you get all 3 (or however many) golds, then you can only do it once. If you get the prize car for the most points after X races in a series, you can re-race the entire series and win another car.

Awesome, thanks! Now I don't have to worry as much about ragging out my cars.

Some people on the GT3 forum were saying that as the miles build up, eventually your car will basically die, others were saying that they'd lose power for a while then it would plateau at a lower than original, but still decent power level. Needless to say, I'm still confused on some aspects of the game.....
