what do you guys do to....???

I'm having problem trying to sleep, I try to go to bed early but I never could actually sleep until 2 to 3 hrs and sometimes even 4 hours after I lie in bed. I was wondering if you guyz have trouble sleeping what you guys do to help you sleep faster besides pills, counting sheeps, drinking milk, or have sex, wellz I tried all of those (except for the sex) but it doesnt work.

Hey man, I have the EXACT same problem. Sometimes I don't go to sleep until 3:30 just because I can't. I think I need to wake up really early so I'm dead tired the next day or something. I've thought about taking sleeping pills, but I'm not really into that if I don't have to.

sounds like your not active enough, thats what sitting infront of the computer does to ya.

why dont you hit the gym around 8 or so. might try running, biking or swimming sometime that day (3-4 times a week is good). trust me you ride 50miles in a day you crash at night!

I don't wanna talk about all my sleeping issues, I'll just let you know that I've been taking massive amounts of sleeping pills since my second year in HS.... I need to take like 5 now just to feel a little tired.

I think mt.biker is right...man..gotta get some exersize yo...seriosuly...and another thing. I hear all about people who can't sleep. WHat about your diet brother. I don't drink pop, tea, iced tea, coffee, anything that is high in sugars or caffiene. I refuse to drink anything that has caffiene in it. I can still stay up later then all my friends, pluse I can sleep when I need to.
Healty diet my friend and some excersize...you'll feel like a completely new person. And feel good about yourself

Things that will keep you awake: orange juice (potassium, so bananas count too), caffeine, exercise, naps, irregular sleep schedules, stress, I'm sure lots else.

Don't exercise within a few hours of your planned bed time otherwise it will help keep you awake. That's the normal recommendation at least, but I do know people who like to nap after a workout.....whatever works for you.

If I nap in the day, I can't sleep at night.

If I sleep in that morning, I can't go to sleep as early at night. The earlier I wake up the earlier I can go to bed.

I can never sleep before anything that stresses me much, such as a test when I was in school, my first day of work, things such as that. Also when I'm excited about something I can't sleep as well, such as dreaming of doing things to my car when I get money....

If you can't get to sleep, get up and do something for a little while. Make the time productive if you can. Usually for insomnia they recommend that you go ahead and get up and do something if you can't sleep, maybe do it for 30 minutes or so, then try sleeping again.

The more I want/need to sleep, the less I can. The less I need to sleep, the more I can. I can sleep through class or work all day long....

i'm so grateful i don't have that problem. i can drink 5 cans of coke right before bed and i'd still fall asleep with no problem. it usually takes me no more than a couple minutes to fall asleep, so it's hard for me to give you advice on this subject.
