new n00b on the block

well I just got my restricted a few days ago and parents promised me a car as soon as I drive "better" hehe anyways right now they're giving me their blue honda civic, I dont know anything about it (or cars) but wat I do know is that it has 1.6 vtec engine, blue, abs brakes, 96 model because its painted on the side anyways I was thinking about changing some bits here and there to make it look better, Im not really a racer just a kid that just got his license and wanna cruise around town so wat are some stuff I can change that will change the "appearnce" I dont care about the engine and all that (well as off now) so wat are some stuff u guys recommend?
