rims just came in....got some ?s

Hey, I dont knwo if you guys knew...but my bro ended buying those SI rims w/tires for 500 shipped from Ebay..just got them today. I got a few questions though. Everything on teh rims were nice...no scartches...tires had good tread...but on one of the tires there seemed to be like two pieces of rock lodged into it...It seems to be holding air ok...I dont want to take them out and then get a flat...what do you think i should do on that...and one more question is that I used to have aftermarkte 17" rims that I had to get special lug nuts with a special key and I was wondering if these lugs would fit on these SI rims for security purposes. thanks

just take the bad wheel and tire to a tire shop and have them check it for leaks or damage. Shouldnt cost more than $20 if there is anything wrong w/ it...free if its fine.

you need oem style lugs for the wheels, so the aftermarket ones probably arent the same style.

are the rocks just kinda wedged into the tread pattern? cause if so they should be fine but to save a trip to find out you have a good tire...get a bucket or get in a pool and put the tire underwater if there are bubbles go to a tire place. If not, put em on and cruise with the new rims

the geekz0r (11:03:46 PM): basicly, look at it this way...the 6speed is the same is the 5speed in 2,3,4,5,and 6...only the speeds are different because of the fd
the geekz0r (11:04:16 PM): so 2nd pulls like 1st in the 5speed, 3rd is like 2nd, etc.
PortugeeTex (11:04:26 PM): so whats 1st like then?
the geekz0r (11:04:49 PM): 1st is like hitting a cheeta in the ass with a tazer
PortugeeTex (11:04:53 PM): lmfao

Its a decent price for wheels and tires if it was a set of SI rims that you were wanting..
