I see...and why would you want to sleeve a block? What purpose would it serve?

under stress cylinder walls change shape - oval
thats fine until you want to make a good lot more hp (block depending) Say you want to add around big lbs of boost, or a large shot of n2o....or a totally mad sick jdm y0 n/a build...Well the stock sleeves of the engine probably (at all) cant handle that kind of power and under the immense amount of stress they crack. So you just get larger, thicker, tougher sleeves put in. |

Lots of local machine shops are more than equiped to do it...
My buddy had a guy who has a whole machine shop in his garage... I keep putting off finding out what he charges for side jobs... cuz I don't have the money for sleeves... much less the money to necessitate sleeves.

A few people whom I know locally had problems with GE sleeves sinking. Not to ruin their reputation cuz I'm sure that not all sinks. I do prefer Benson's, Darton, or AEBS.

heard good things about Midway sleeves. Cheaper than dartons, and supposedly just as strong (or so I am told)
