AAAHHHHH! Popups!

What is it with this site and pop-ups? Don't get me wrong...I love the site and most of the folks here. It's just that I don't expect to have to close a window from Emode.com or cheap Tickets every time I click on a link. I know it helps pay for the costs of keeping the site up and I respect that...but do there have to be so damn many?

Yeah, and if you don't?

I would install a popup blocker, but I'm on a corporate system so can't just go installing something like WebWasher that is free for home and pay for corporate.

Nor will my poor system work well with IE6.... :(

The popups are very annoying, I always close them, and they make me LESS interested in CheapTickets, eMode, and whatever else pops up on the screen. If it annoys me, I don't want to pay them. Popups have managed to have the exact opposite effect on me than what the marketing spin doctors intended.....unless, of course, it's a competitor trying to get me annoyed with a different brand. Now that would be crafty!
