WHy AEM made hte bypass valve

Well after getting settled back into my mississppi home I hydrolocked my motor the other day. Was driving in the rain and tryed to dodge a small lake that formed in the middle of the road. Well I didnt and my car died instantly. So after all that being said Im getting a h23a1 swapped in next week. Yeah yeah h22a is better but you got an extra 500 bucks. I know I dont lol. but hey 130 to 160hp is a big ass jump. Ill post up some pics when I get it back. Also does this site take a long ass time to load for anyone else. it takes forever to load for me and ive got cable internet.

Man that really sucks. I just took my BPV off, but I might use it again in the winter now that I'm a little lower.

hrmm :\
Kinda been there. I had to drive through a giant puddle. So, there was a break in traffic and I punched it, but the engine just died. I knew what was happening, and that probably saved my motor. I had to pull off the cold-air extension and the air filter (both of which were dripping with water) and drove home over 40 miles with no filter :\

Off question: Did you claim it with insurance? Isn't hydrolock considered a natural disaster?

If your intake system is stock, yes.
