if your gonna swap, might as swell swap in the "aftermarket-friendly" and beefier DOHC motor

In this case, DOHC is the way to go.. But that isnt always the case.. ie, Mercedes Benz (including tuner models, duh!) ..

It isn't...I'm too. Get neither, get a second gen B16 If I had the choice, I would probably go with the DOHC. |

don't waste your time swaping something that isn't much better than what you allready have. if you go dohc non vtec (b18b) then I assume you would turbo it? otherwise go b16a (obd1)

depends where you live......
if you live in CA.......you cant pass emissions with a B20B/Z anyway so dont bother. also, if you are in CA.........id go with the SOHC VTEC motor and slap on JG's turbo kit.......i think its received carb exempt #'s so, you should be good to go. |

Hmmm...there's a B16A SiR, B16A SiR II, B16A2 and B16A3. First gen B16A is OBD-0, second gen is OBD-I, B16A2 is OBD-II, and B16A3 is OBD-I, sooo...which one are you referring to? |
