turbo timer

ok i got few questions about the turbo timer!
1) After i took my key out, the car still keeps running when the turbo timer is on, right? When my car is still running without the key, now then i put in my key, and turn it to ACC, then i drive my car, will that work??
2) Will installing a starter affect how the turbo timer works?
3) usually how many mins do u guys set it to keep it running??

thanks alot!

1)when you take the key out, the car will keep on running, if you come back and put your key in and turn it to acc once the timer is done counting down only your acc functions will be on, however if you turn the key to the on position you will be able to drive and go.

2)Installing a starter shouldn't effect the timer

3)usually you should time around 2-3 min., of course it just depends on how hard you beat on the car

ok first off with my A'PEXi Auto Turbo Timer, and this is with everybodies...
1.) your car is supposed to run for how ever long u set it for at idle once u take your key out of the Ignition, ACC keeps all the electronics on in the car without using your batteries stored power, but do not set that on ACC, set it on the desired time (see #3) to allow oil to pass thru the turbo to cool it down to prevent coking.
2.) starters shouldnt have nuthing to do with Turbo Timers...
3.) YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE A MINIMUM OF 30 SECs OF IDLE TIME ONCE U TAKE THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION, I've got mine set to 30 sec...

the last position before actually starting the car...if you go all the way you will grind your starter.

Drag boosted SI...I think you are a little confused xbird is asking after the timer turns off and he has it switched to one of these position...and if you only time your car for 30 you a moron, that doesn't allow anything time to cool down.

about how long i should set, i thnk it all depends how much boost i am running and have i boosted a lot... i would say between 45 to 1 min??? good??

FIRST OFF!, lets not jump to calling people names just cause of a mistake that was on my part second of all I was told to have it set to 30 secs...i could've misheard them telling me it was 3:00 mins. so excuse my incorrectness

sorry about long night, figure you sit at a stop light longer than that, you should set your timer anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes depending.

I programmed my Turbo timer so it knows how long it should stay on after you take out the key.

I know that there are a lot of turbo timers that can do that for you.

yeah, there are going to be alot of opinions on how long the timer should be set. mine is set at 2 minutes, and like drag boosted Si said, that is NOT going to hurt anything. i like to be extra safe, but that's me.....shiet, i used to have it set for 5 minutes! he he he he.....until gas prices went up
