what do you think?

I was talking to my buddy today about getting a Catback and he informed me that the place that welded his muffler in offered to custom build/bend his exhaust system to increase performance and sound quality for $80, compared to the $300+ for a Tanabe or such
The piping is stainless steel and seems like a nice idea for the me since I lack cash
now I'm wondering is there any drawbacks to having a custom bent exhaust piping, if you all can help me please do

If its mandrel bent and stainless, you'll probably be happy. Be careful which muffler/resonator you choose, as some custom systems are very loud.

yeah the only drawback is that the retailers won't get your cash. however the $80 is way to small for something like that. here a custom made pipe with stainless steel is 250+ and it is not mandrel bent but crushed pipe.

well maybe they were just being extra nice to my friend, but I'll go to them and get the specifics on what they use and do and get back to you with the info so I make a smart choice
and I'm still trying to decide on what muffler to get then, not sure if I want cylinder or standard muffler shape
and I'll just have to get that from this place that enjoys to overprice everything but I'll just hafta do some good ol haggling
thanks for the help
