It is here

Well guys, after over a year of waiting for a sports car, I have one. Today at 4:00PM I took delivery of a Red/Black 350z Performance 6mt. This car kicks ass. Im trying to keep it below 4k rpm for the first 1500 or so miles, but it comes so quickly it is hard. Anyways, without further adeu, here are the pictures.

last one... thanks to everyone on here that has been supportive of my decision, I really appreciate it. I will still stick around here just for fun, like I did when I had the Highlander. Sorry for the bad pic resolution, I had to resize them smaller so they dont look as good. Im having fun with the new car, but reminder to everyone: keep it safe.

Hey Highlander, I was curious. When you were ordering your car, could you order specific parts? By that, I mean... you got the Performance, but could you get the front and rear spoilers from the Track, or did you have to buy the whole option?

Also, just wondering if anyone has seen the 350Z Roadster? My first impressions of it are very unfavorable, but I would have to see it in person. Then again, I am not a fan of the Audi TT, and this reminds me that car...

my understanding is that you can't do that on a production car coming from the factory, it's all or nothing. but you can buy the parts individually though from the dealership.

nice ride, you have my envy at the moment. do you have any money for mods? the motor mods very well but looks like a pain in the ass to get to individual places.

will nissan still let you order stillen parts through them...

the nissan dealer by me here used to sell z's already hopped up with stillen parts... they'd let you upgrade whatever and they'd warranty it... I almost crapped when I first heard about it... If only I was rich.

P.S. congratulations dude....

Hehe, the Honda dealership up the road sells every AEM part imaginable. And since they sell it and install it, they don't void your warrenty (even for cam gears and sh*t like that).

Hey, thanks for all the replies

DuckyDos: I bought the car off the lot, so I didn't order it, and no unfortunately it doesnt have the Brembo brakes or the factory spoilers, but I plan on getting a NISMO rear spoiler after I run out of other things to do.

Yes, I do have about $500 left of mod-money at the moment, and all of that is going towards a stereo. After that I badly need some tint in this hot weather, then I'll look into other things. I'm holding out on modding the engine right now as there have been several reports on Z message boards of the ECU negating mods, where you see power gain immediately after installation, but then the ECU reprograms itself to erase the mods (this is hugely debated). I am going to wait and let the horsepower aftermarket mature before I make any decisions.

I'm also going to get dealer installed leather and maybe dealer installed brembos later in the summer.

No leather as of now. The leather starts with the touring model, and it also has the blows sound system which is harder to replace than the performance model sound system due to the wires sucking, headunit hard to get out, etc. Btw, the models go like this:
Base
Enthusiast
Performance
Touring
Track

why would you wanna replace the Bose system? just add to it....replacing Bose would be like trading that in for a geo metro

Hah, thats what most people would think. The bose system in the Touring and Track models is crap. That is the biggest complaint owners of that car have. There are DOZENS of threads about how bad it is, what letters have been sent to Nissan of America, etc. Most of them are at www.my350z.com, but it requires you to register and login to view posts, so I won't post any links to there.

http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthre...e#Post67261145

http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthre...fpart=all&vc=1

These are just two that I found. Like I said, most are at www.my350z.com where I frequent more than at freshalloy. Surprising Bose would suck so much? somewhat. I have never found them to be all that great even with all the hype. Sure they have clear imaging, but lack lows and highs...

the bose systems are OK at best... they crank for a stock stereo but are far from good or great..

My brother just got a 99 maxima with the bose... he's replacing it too...

well first off the question is what parts of the stereo are from bose? the rockford fosgate system that is an upgrade for the spec-v's is really only an amplifier and a rockford sticker.

as for nismo, they have other manufacturers make their stuff and they merely brand it(nismo in america that is). i'd look more towards the real jdm products for modding of the car.
