I hear the AEM V2 is very good. I would also think Injen is good, although their intake for the 6mt g35 causes the car to stall at 80+mph

Iceman and AEM were the first to come out with cold-air apps for imports a while back. AEM was the better of the two. Since, companies have just been trying to copy the system with little success. For any Honda/Acura application, AEM is the way to go.

Whats the difference with the V2/normal AEM intakes?
How is the V2's design so much better?

Yeah, same here. Definitely can't be considered quiet.

I dont know about the v2...you have to replace the motormount on lots of cars (So I am told). I really wouldnt trust an AEM motormount, just because they havent made any in the past and they dont tell you that you need to do that until its dropped off at your door and you read the instructions...(again...so I am told)

(information from several users @ Honda-Tech)

i wouldn't say that everyone is copying aem, aem has a consistent problem with quality control of their mounting brackets, they have a tendency to snap. plus they are also known to inflate their dyno numbers by being very selective with the cars that they test their products on. I have never experienced an issue with injen nor have I ever heard anything bad about them. consistent quality and i always liked their polished pieces. k&n released a newly designed typhoon intake system that is great quality but their piping is smaller (2 1/2") compared to the standard 3" of injen and aem. these three companies are about the only ones along with dc sports that will apply for carb exemption so their prices will be higher as well. but there are millions of companies that make intakes that are basically the same design, just not of the same quality, especially with the filter element.

i believe the v2 aem intake is the one that has an added piece inside the piping that is supposed to add "multiple frequency soundwaves" to charge more air...sounds like a marketing gimmick to me.

I actually broke the bolt that you are supposed to screw the nut onto the mounting bracket on.

Did that make sense?

My knock-off eBay intake came with brackets, but it didn't tell you were the place them or how to... and you had to bend them yourselves :\

I want to get one (a long with the other list of crap when ever I get the money) but I was just wondering which was the best too. I know a lot of people talk about the AEM ones but I didn't know if it was just the most popular, but maybe not the best? *shrug* I guess it is.

Plus I don't want a really loud car. Are there like audio clips heh
