v6 lights dim

this is actually a problem with an acura cl 3.0. when i am sitting at a light or any time the car is at idle rpm and i turn on a turn signal the head lights flicker. if i turn on the heater or ac they dont flicker with the turn signals. if i rev the engine up a little they dont do it either, its only at idle. i thought it might be an alternator problem but that would mean the lights would flicker when i have a lot of electronics on. any ideas would be appreciated.

After I put the indiglo's in my car, my headlights do the same thing when I open the sun roof.... My guess would be the alternator.

well i took my car to the acura dealership and they found nothing wrong with the electrical system. their explaination was that most honda cars have an ELD (electrical load detector). the eld sends a signal to the computer which in turn tells the alternator to go into high or low output. when there is something not very stressful to the electrical system (like turn signals) the alternator goes into low output mode and thats why the lights flicker some. Dont know if they are just bull crapin me or not. if they are, somebody tell me.
