well as most of you know i have some problems with my chasis. something is bent there and i can't figure out what the hell is bent. i took my car to a few shops and they start giving me shit that even they straigten out the fram the car won't perform as it did stock. i told them i don't care about how it should perform i just want my frame straigtened. i'm sick of blowing my 3rd shock now (KONI yellow). i checked at least 10 shops lately and the ***** about my springs and performance. why can't i get someone to just measure my frame and shut the **** up about the springs ????? sorry for the rant

well i just took my car from the algmnament shop, and almost got into an accident because of their ****ing ignorance. i messed up with the camber kit today and installed it and changed my front crossbone too. i did not tighten the strut rods (that's what honda calls them) so the will adjust my caster. they did not look at it and when i got out of the lot my wheel hit theback of the fender and locked making me do a 180 in front of the oncoming traffic. i'm gonna tighten them tomorrow and find out a way to measure the anles. the caster i think went back to -2 now

Wow; wasn't your civic made in Ohio?

Hondaman - Dude, your car's a disaster. Sell it. Buy my civic; it's in pretty good shape.

Holy shit Stefan. That really sucks. Fortunately you're ok. I can totally relate to what you're dealing with. I took my car for an alignment last year and I don't even remember how it happened but my tires were getting rotated or something there too and someone there forgot to tighten the lugs and my wheel pretty much started to fall off as I was driving it. The lugs did not come completely off but there was a huge gap between where the lugs actually were on the studs and where they should have really been if they were tightened accordingly. I was more than pissed off.

the reason they all ***** about the springs (i'm assuming) is because the computer measures points based on a stocl position... once you have different springs on there it's a totally custom set of numbers.

The alignment thing is the same deal... if the spring manufacturer didn't make them so they align to stock specs (like eibach) then your screwed unless they sent you specs to align it to.

And as for shady shops.... ya word that's why I just do all my work myself at this point.
