Stupid banks! I am sick of them!

I was overdraft in my account 87 cents!! 87 cents! And they charged me an overdraft fee of 22.00!! WTF!? For 87 cents! Can you tell I am mad?! Dude, that is suck B.S.! I called and the lady I talked to was like "Well sir, you should be more carefull about how you spend your money." I responded with "What? Are you my f!@#ing mother?" I am usually good about keeping track of how much money I have and how much I spend. I use my check book, thats what it is for. So maybe I made a slight miscalculation which put me off 87 cents but for them to charge me 22.00! I am so tired of California Federal!

Yeah, but at least your check didn't bounce and cause you the embarassment. That's expensive though.

hmm.. you did overdraw, its bairly overdrawn i know, but where can they write your allowed to over draw a little, but not alot. its just a rule of theirs. they cant let people off, because then they wont make money. banks make money off your money, and when you have to use theirs, they dont like that, then they need to make some money off you.

That sucks man. Sorry to hear that. I work for a bank. But the thing is though is that if people overdraw by under $1.00, I waive it. It's pretty stupid to charge someone 27.00 for overdrawing by under $1.00...Is this the first time that you've ever done that? She really should not have told you to be more careful either. If I were you, I would really call back and try to speak with someone else (but don't say are you my F****** mother?!). Most financial institutions are more than willing to give a one time courtesy credit. I'm telling you. But call and be nice.

Switch to a smaller bank or a credit union - they tend to be much more personable and forgiving about little stuff like that. Then again, you won't get any favors by being rude - you did spend more money than you had.
