				maintainence light flashes
			 ok, i've had my check engine light flash before, but never my maintainence light, and i'm at 58000 miles.  i've had all the oil changes and what not, i know a 60000 mile checkup is due, but surely that isnt its flashing, is it? |

				 | that is flashing because there is some overdue maintenance on it. it is linked to the odometer, and you have to reset it everytime when you do the maintenance. don't ask me how to reset it

				 | you can reset the ecu simply by pulling the negative terminal on your battery, waiting a couple minutes, then re-attaching it.

				 | before you disconnect the battery, try this... with the car turned off, press and hold the odometer reset button. start the car and continue to hold the button until the maintenance light stops flashing. the next time you start your car the light shouldn't flash. |
