89 rx-7 FOR SALE

I know this is a honda site but I'am always here so I figured I would just post it.
I am looking for a project car to drag.
I found a 89 Mazda RX-7 .
It has a few problems that need to be fixed,
Like heater core, some how in gods unknown he broke the right rear coilover.(well i am guessing thats whats wrong when i redline it and snatch 2nd it makes a loud thud and about gives me whiplash when it takes off and I know its the shocks or that area of things)
The body just needs alittle care but hardly anything wrong with that.
The inside needs alittle fixenup like seat torn alittle headliner coming down nothing realy major.
It had 140k miles on it not to bad for the year and a rebuilt inline 6 rotory with about 15k miles on it.
Oh yea price is $1000 So what you guys think YA not NA

(by the way its my bestfriends cuz and what I am told by him is that he only raced it like 5 times 1 time at the track and got a 13.9 with just a K&N and dual Catback but he drove it quite easy)

Thanks guys
Bryan

Those are nice cars. If you know how to work on rotary engines, get it!

quetion... is it a turbo 2 model? and uhh... its not an inline 6, its a rotroy engine, no pistons or anything like a conventional engine. they are basass cars for handleing and track. the power to rate ratio on the small rotory engines is incredible. they do have lots of problems if you race them alot though. just make sure if you do buy it, you dont rag the hell out of it all the time, of its going to have a 6month to year life expectancy.

First if your making a drag car. Who cars about any damage other than body and frame. Make sure to take it to a body shop to check out the frame. The interior should be completely stripped and redone anyways so who cars about interior? I say DO IT
