Debating a 2.3" or 1.25" drop
I have some slightly used Progressive springs that give a 2.3" f/r drop. I dont know if I want a drop that drastic. Does anyone have photos of their car or someone else's that can show me a comparison between the two? It would be great to save some $ on the 2.3" but thats a big drop I think.
Thanks |

Bro, I see that you are putting a lot of threads on here about your car, and I've read all of them, but check this out......if you are planning on putting a body kit on, then don't lower your car 2.3". You were talking about making your car hard to drive in elevated areas, and if you do that then you won't be able to get out of your driveways....little exaggeration there. I have a 1.5" drop and a ground effect kit, and I have a hard enough time driving in some areas. Listen to us who know this.

What about this.... Lower the car till I get a body kit (assuming I use the 2.3" drop). Then I get the kit and put the stock springs back on?

SilVtec is right......if yer gettin a Street Fyghter type kit, i wouldnt go with a 2.3" drop. 1.5" is enough and perhaps swap out those 16's for some 17's.

Bro, you have to look at it like this...why go through all that trouble. My motto is that if your gonna do it, do it right the first time. Put on the higher springs. |

ok it has to be said (and dont take offense to it either)....civic3X98...chill out man. youre goin around at blazing speed and thats gonna kill ya. take it easy and dont be so eager to customize your civic. Trust me, I messed up my interior because i went to fast. PLAN IT OUT. Think before you act...or ask a question for that matter.
![]() oh and can i see a pic of your ride? I wanna get the Enkei RS6's too but I wanna see them on a real car, not from a website. Granted I want 17"s but hell its better than nothing. ![]() |

Well I for one am proud that you moved from the wing and the body kit to the suspension...
My advice is to save up more dough and get adjustable coil overs, kept it about 1" drop for normal driving and then Slam that Baby on the Pavement to get your Bling Bling on.

thnx for the pic...without the wing (I forgot I'd already seen it). Since youre in Tx and dont get much snow action (I assume). You could safely go with some springs over Coilovers. 'Course then you cant adjust for the "Bling Blingin". Since Im into "Blingin" and "Ballin' Outta Control" Id get ground control coilovers and some AGX adjustables...also because I live in Mi and it snows here...a lot. And Im not into plowing the streets with my car.
