D@am squirrels

So on my way to school today I hit a squirrel. Before this I had only ever hit a chipmunk (those things are a b!tch to hit too....little and fast) and that was bad enough. I felt the bump of the squirrel and look in my side mirror to see him hobbling around the middle of the road. I felt sooooo bad. The poor little thing probably had like 2 broken back legs and was tryin to get to the side of the road. It was so sad. Well when I left campus today I looked to see if he had gotten hit by another car who finished him off...and there was no squirrel. So by my estimations he probably made it the rest of the way across or he's stuck to another car/truck. It's just that I go out of my way (well far enough out of my way to not injure an animal or my car...If I have to choose one of the 2 i pick hittin the animal) not to hit animals. And then this darn squirrel runs under my car this morning.....what's a girl to do?

I had a cat in my neighborhood run and just straight into the side of my car. It just hit the door, landed, and ran away. Not the smartest animal.

If you saw him hobbling you shoulda slapped it in reverse and nailed him again. Chances are he's off dying a slow & painful death.

Squirrel's not too bad. I hit a black bear once. Totalled my '95 Jetta GLX, and the bear jogged off into the woods (pretty sure he was stunned at least as long as I was, though...)

Wow you just kept driving? I've taking out many little animals in my neck of the woods, if you dont kill them the first time you need to back up and kill it. Otherwise the animal is just suffering because you dont have the balls to put it out of its missery.

Just so you all know I dont enjoy killing animals just can happen alot on the way to my cottage.

I couldnt really back up and hit it again....i was running late to school AND on a fairly busy road. That and I guess I don't have the "balls" to actually kill the animal cuz I can't stand feelin that bump under my tires. I won't even re-run over dead animals on the road...I swerve for those too. That bump just creeps the hell out of me. I was hoping maybe another animal found him and ate him. At least then one would have a fairly easy meal for once.
One time on my way home from my ex's house I saw a white tail deer bounce off the car in front of me and then I almost hit it...but it stood up and ran off into the woods. I kept going then. I called my ex freakin out and he talked to me for like 30 seconds and was like "I'm going to bed now." (jackass!) I was quite distraught.

And holy shit how do you hit a black bear?????? Those are the dopiest animals. I'm still tryin to figure that one out....

OH and the other thing about backin up and hittin animals again....ya know to make sure they actually die....I really have no desire to have animal guts all over my tires and wheel wells nor my car itself.
