Calling all EX AEM CAI owners!!!

What is the outer diameter and the length of the intake pipe. I'm looking to custome make a clone of the AEM CAI, and I need to know the OD and the length of the pipe. Thanks in advance.

I think the diameter is 2.5 inches, I dont know about the length tho.

Save yourself the effort and buy one. You'll be glad you did

The outside diameter is 2.5", but no idea on the length.

Thanks for the responses. I kinda like fabricating my own stuff. Yeah, it's the cheap way to go, but you get a better understanding of how things work when you get your hands dirty. By the way, where does the intake end at? Is the filter where the resonator used to be, or where the intake pipe was at the bottom of the engine compartment?

The filter is where the resonator would be. If you look under you passenger's side fender well insert, it goes there. The filter sits about 2" from the bottom of the insert.

http://www.teamdelsol.com -- there's a how-to on their page about making one. Just make sure to make some sort of bracket to hold the piping to the chassis. You don't want that shit to fall off! (Happened to a few friends and acquaintances of mine.)
