I used to take Tae Kwon Do, but as I got older I ran out of time for it.
Hey if you sign up, I'll sign up. There's a place called Dee's that's supposed to be pretty good.

Hmm.. Ill have to think about that one. There are a couple Karate places locally, but I dont know if I really want to take Karate. Id like to take something else.

Aikido would be cool. They teach you pressure points and such.

I took Pasaryu Martial Arts for about 3 months twice a week after school. Stopped during summer, and am not going to start back up. I wish I had the time to do it, it was a lot of fun, even though I got stuck in a class of 10-12yr olds and I am 17 ... got blue belt and was about to get the next one... thats purple i think... anyways im just too lazy to start back, but it was fun

karate & tae kwon do, are like going to the gym to train..

while, kung fu is like training thru meditation, with a little physical work.. At that point it made 3-4 months that I was training with my internal energy..

Its quiet messed up.. But once your able to master it, I dont think you can be touched.. seriously.

biker, IMO fighting is fighting, regardless of where its happening..
But kung Fu is the higher science of martial arts.. Though they strongly suggest doing some other martial arts, just to prep you physically and for the discipline.

Take some Tae Bo.

A buddy of mine is pretty hardcore into Kung Fu, he loves the stuff. He's now teaching kids but also trains under his master.

I've thought about taking it, but I got bad shoulders and can't really spar.....I really wanna spar....

I box. Well, I don't box but I hit the bag and spar a little at the gym for shits and giggles sometimes. I don't want to get all jacked though so I don't really go that often. Taebo or however you spell it is fun but it takes a lot out of you when you first start.

Sparring was the best part.
You don't get banged up really. Unless the guy you're sparring against doesn't know what he's doing.

Sparring is definitely fun but guys get all scared to do it because they think they're going to hurt me. This may be off topic but slap boxing is fun too. I can definitely say that I can hold my own in a fight. I think a lot of girls should know how to because there are a lot of scumbags out there. My dad taught me to really know how to defend myself at a young age. And one time when I found myself in a bad situation, I was able to.

Im trying to get my wife to take something with me. I think she'd love it. I have a freestanding heavy bag that I kick and punch around on. The only bad part is that its in the garage and it slides across the floor when I kick or punch it very hard. Im thinking about getting a hanging bag. I wonder how well rubber would keep it from sliding.

Yeah, you know those little sticky things that old people put on the bottom of their bathtubs so they don't bust their asses in the shower?? Try some of those

I do compete now, just on a lesser level. Mostly small tournaments, like school sponsered ones. I used to compete in KRANE and NASKA events when I was younger. Your resume sounds impressive as well...how long were you been involved with it?

I did 4 yrs of karate, 3 yrs of tae kwon do, and 18 months of kung fu.

This started when I was 8.. I dont take anymore classes, but I never stopped training. My dad is very much into meditation/energy techniques (relaxation and focussing), so I also do a lot of that nowadays..

As for competitions, I went twice to that big martial arts reunion in Colorado.. Damn that's a crazy comp..

I'm thinking of returning to that comp.. My concentration and speed is of course much greater now.

I'm so annoyed right now I'm about to whip some ass. It seems as though almost every customer that I talk to has this huge stick in their ass or something. And I keep have to do all these stupid escrow analysis statements...Sorry, this is a little off topic but I'm about to punch someone.
