First thing you should is looking into a swap. DOHC motors tend to be easier to extract more power out of. A single turbo is all you need. Look into Drag, FMAX, or RevHard turbo kits. They tend have larger turbos which will give you more boost.
Just keep in mind the more power your pushing the less reliable the motor will become. So make sure you take strong precautions before adding any parts or raising boost. There are lots of websites out there that will help you build your honda motor. Or you can ask questions here, and any one of our fellow geniuses will be more then happy to answer your question. ![]() What kinda 1/4 mile times are you looking for?

Then I would look into a B18 and building the internals and getting a turbo for it. That will put you in the 13s and beyond.

get the motor (but it) send it out to be race built (rods pistons rings cams springs retainers posting/block guard) get a really big turbo and a nice engine management system after that all you need is the fuel pump injectors intercooler you should be able to hit your goal as long as that 8-10k is for motor work only not including the car. if it is sell the ex and buy a dx (lighter cheaper).

if this is your only driver.....buy the motor, build it, then swap it into your car when the motor is ready.....otherwise you will see a lot of downtime w/o a car during the buildup.
for that $10k you can hit 11's if you do your research and buy the right parts and dont break a lot of things. |
