Update on my car....

As you all should know I blew my engine. Im pulling it this coming Sunday. When its put back together it will be capable of running 30psi. Here's what I have so far.

In my room: engine rebuild kit
crane ignition although I have MSD i like the fact that you can retard timing depending on how much boost your running at the time. a GREAT feature.
Stainless Steel fuel lines.
Extra gas tank (to hold cam2, I will have it hooked up to the main fuel line and at a flip of a switch it will start flowing with the 93 octane fuel).
aeromotive fuel pressure regulator first one on page.

stuff on order:
dell laptop. (just ordered it yesterday, should be here in a week).
EIC im adding 4 more injecters (ill have 8 injecters). EIC controls them but cant work it without laptop. =/ its kinda like a inexpensive standalone ecu but it ONLY controls fuel settings.

stuff i still need:
another fuel rail from 98 eclipse
8 injecters (i need the 8 injecters to flow just as much fuel as 4 625cc injecters. im thinking like 8 400cc injecters for a mustang so they will be cheaper).
clutchmaster flywheel.
UDP
trottle body
EGR removal
motor mounts
JE piston rings, id rather have JE than total seal that come with the rebuild kit.
different bov, im thinking either greddy or blitz. any opinions on the matter??
head gasket
stage 2 axles


I figure while the engine is out that I might as well do a lot of different shit that would be a pain in the ass with the engine in. Once I get all the parts I will take engine to machineshop to be bored, balanced, blueprinted, intake manifold port and polish along with getting it modified to hold the 4 extra injecters. Soon after all that is done, I will be getting a carbon fiber hood and relocating the windshield sprayer things that sit on the hood to the front bumper. Im gonna be able to mist my intercooler while racing. I think I might get all that turbo wrap crap and get a custom heat shield made. Can anyone else think of anything I should do while the engine is out that would be a pain to do with the engine in??

Car will hopfully be running in 2-3 months. It will probably take me a month alone to get it tuned perfectly. Standalones are such a pain. Yes, my eclipse is the only car I own. I was going to get a truck to haul car parts and body parts and possibly as a car to take to parties and clubs (i dont drive mine to DC) but i blew my engine so I have to fix the ride all up before I think of buying an older pickup. Clean my engine huh?? That was from an oil leak and I scubbed the hell of it but its akward scrubbing under the hood so I couldnt wash hard for too long. When my car is completely done and tuned perfectly, I plan on running high 9's low 10's on slicks with 30psi and a 100 shot. HRC tried 30psi and 100 shot once but they blew something. Im gonna get that head gasket that lowers compression 1 point so I think that will be enough to handle it. Only thing about running 9.9 in 1/4 is that if you do. You cant race there anymore til you have racing license, parchuette and upgraded fram. That would suck if I do a pass and they make me leave. =[ anyone wanna help with my car??

I'm pretty lost with all the parts you listed and I have no clue what to do with half of them, but I hope everything turns out well and I hope you car kicks some serious a**!....from one Eclipse ower to another.

2.75 diameter exhaust. Screw a kat, thats long gone...headers, dont have them...

To run 9s you why do you need an upgraded frame? All you have to get is you cage certified ($150 and good for 2 years plus you get a shiny plate for the cage) you have to go through a few tests like you have to be able to shut the car down within an alloted feet of a certain marker on the track also you have to do 2 consecutive passes at 9.99 or less. Lastly you need a physical exam and it is usually required before the driving tests. Im curious because i already have my chassis certified but im awaiting to get my other certifications.
