Need thoughts on buying an accord!
Well since my wife just crashed her car last night (she's fine, just upset about the accident) i need to get her a temporayr car for about a year or so.
So i've found 2 accords for sale and i need some insite on them since i've been into dsm's. 1st car: 1995 accord 4dr/ ac/ at/ 200,000 miles smoged taged (clean title) etc.. 1500 obo????? Good bad? 2nd car: 1994 accord 4dr/ ac/ at/ 100,000 miles (salvage title) smogged taged etc.. 1,100 obo??? Both are in good condition from what i've been told (i'll be looking at them tonight) But from what i can tall the 1st is in a little better condition. Aslo i'm leaning more towards it since it's not a slavage (unsean problems) but it dose have a bit over 200,000 miles (but then again hondas run forever) So let me know Thanks |

Your right hondas will run for a long, long time.... If someone has taken decent care of it. If I were you, I would look at both of them, listen to the car, feel the car make sure everything feels pretty solid, Check service records (if there are some) check for leaks, etc. You will be able to tell if the car has been taken care of. Id lean for the 1st on too, but if the 2nd looks and feels ok.. Go for it.. For that kinda money if it runs good, its about worth it.
Good luck. ![]()

Those are extremely cheap, even with those miles. Buy both and re-sell one. I'd keep the clean title'd one. If you're handy, you could pick up a used F22 and drop it in with lower miles too. Or keep it and drop an H22 in

Ya those are ver very cheap..
wow what a bargain. Well get the 1st one.. If it runs well now, you could be 90% sure it'll run fine for another year or 2.

Yeah I would also go with the one that is not salvaged. If hondas are taken care of they will run forever IMO. My parents have gone through 3 hondas so far. 81 Honda Civic bought it new gave it to me when I was 16 I drove it to the ground and it had 290000 miles whe I gave it to my friend. 91 Honda Accord sold it with 179000 miles and still passed CA smog like a champ. Now we have a 96 Accord Ex and have had no problems at all with it.
