A sunroof just pops up at the back to let some air in and a moonroof either pops up at the back or slides all the way back to let air in...Moonroofs all the way....Some moonroofs aren't clear too...I think most preludes roofs are moonroofs. My friends was black like his car.

Yeah I think derek covered that pretty good...you just have the entire opening w/ the moon roof and the pop up w/ the regular sunroof..

I love me some moon roofs....

I'm not gonna start, cause I don't have either. Maybe I can cut out my own moonroof or something

Some sunroofs are removeable.. They are kinda cool. But can be a pain too.

Havin a moonroof is the absolute best!! Cept the extra weight they add.. but f*** that. I thought sunroofs matched the color of the car and moonroofs were tinted

Sunroof is the generic term used to describe an operable panel in a vehicle roof which can let in light and/or air. Moonroof is a term created by Ford in the 70's, yet is now used generically to describe glass panel inbuilt electric sunroofs.

moonroof = glass panel that retracts into the rear of the roof leaving a large section opened. most moonroof's can just pop up the back end also.
sunroof = glass panel the only pops up in the back. usually is not motored.
convertible = the entire roof comes down.
t tops = the section right above the front seats comes off leaving a small bar (usually) in the middle to maintain chassis rigidity.
