Could yall clear this up for me?
When dealin' with the motor codes would it be a D16Z6 or a D16Y6? I saw some peeps on another board sayin it's 'Y' but I have always thought they were 'Z'. I've got a chart that uses Z's as well. What is the correct way?

I guess that, judging from the pics DlackDeuceCoupe posted, that it is in fact Y's that Honda uses in the code.

D16Y8 = EX engine, SOHC VTEC
D16Y7 = CX, DX, LX engine, SOHC noTEC D16Y5 = HX, SOHC VTEC-E D16Z = 92-95 EX/Si, SOHC VTEC ![]() if yer too lazy to click links.........but clicking that link is smart cuz its rather informative ![]() |
