If I'm speaking to one of my superiors and I say that. They consider it to be. Push up time.

It is if you have the frame of mind that it is. Consider that the name "Jesus" isn't a curse or swear word at all...but you can't say it on TV in any other context than to talk about someone with that name. It will always get edited down to sound like "geez". It's the same thing with "god damn"...they edit out "god" but leave "damn". Way to go, assholes. Oops...someone quick...edit out "hole", but leave "ass"! Hell in and of itself is not a curse word, although some people who are uppity dipshits might consider it as such if you use it as an exclamation. In a literal sense, if you told someone to go to hell, that could be construed as a curse since you are essentially cursing them to hell. However, something like "what the hell" doesn't even really make sense outside of the meaning given to it by modern society so it can't be considered a curse.

I put way too much thought into that, huh? I could've just said "no".

I posted on some other forum asking a question, "I the hell do I bla bla....."
and they actually edited it out, then I said the last time I check the English language the word “hell” wasn’t a curse, they edited that out too....

People put way to much into words? IMO, it is the meaning behind to word that can do the damage not the actual word itself. What is the difference between "shit" and "crap"? It means the same thing, right? I personally don't get what the big deal is.

Unfortunately, to many people get offended by stupid shit and have to make a big deal out of nothing because they have nothing better to do with thier time.

no word should be considered off limits.
I work in a shop so I'm sure you can imagine my sailor talk and what else I hear.

Swear words can be used so efficiently to stress a point. They are the most useful thing our society has.

I never met much opposition in using that word...except for a few extremely uptight Christian teachers in high school (how did they leak into the school system.....). Maybe its the liberal-ness in the Bay.

So no, I don't think its a curse word.
