Panic attacks

I know I can't be the only one here who gets them on a regular basis. I have horrible generalized anxiety (hence my all-too-often self medication with alcohol) and I take medication twice a day (Clonazepam), but it just seems like nothing REALLY works. It's all more like band-aid fixes. So if anyone else gets them I'd sure as shit like to know what you do to keep them under control. I had one this morning after I woke up that just about pushed me over the edge and I'm fucking sick of it.

Someday, in the event that mankind actually figures out what it is that this world actually revoles around, thousands of people are going to be shocked and perplexed that it was not them. Sometimes this includes me.

I get them every so often, but luckily it's not to the point that I need medication... I'm just generally screwed up in the head.

Honestly, Ive had so few of them, I cant even seem to remember what for and when.

What kinds of things cause them for you? Are they actual stressors or are they more along the lines of being occasionally paranoid?
I know that a lof of meds, when mixed with alcohol can, instead, cause the reverse of what theyre designed to stop, only sometimes make it worse.
(Im guessing you know all the side-effects of what you take.)

There aren't really any triggers for me. I just start having a weird feeling and then start to focus on that like a laser. I've never had a paradoxical effect like you're talking about...but hangovers certainly don't help. Ironically the medication I take is often given to alcoholics during withdrawls. My anxiety is ridiculously generalized which makes it a lot harder to avoid a situation that could push me over the edge into crazyness.

And Darin...no...that wasn't a panic attack. At least not in the classic sense.
