check out my new toys!! w00t!

yup, i just thought i'd share my newest toys!! i just recently got my Stewart Warner Gauge Ultra Shift Light (G.U.S.) and GReddy EGT Gauge. also, my fellows @ SpeedQuest hooked it up with a custom 2.5" downpipe for my GReddy 19T setup... so i got the custom downpipe with flexpipe to a 3" magnaflow hi flo cat and a full 3" thermal exhaust! talk about openin' her up!!

the beautiful stainless steel thermal..

shot of the 2.5" custom downpipe, you can see the egt probe

and finally my gauges!

A-Pillar: Stewart Warner Shift Light and Autometer Air/Fuel
Cluster Pod: GReddy EGT and GReddy Boost

the stewart warner shift light is super bright! its an awesome blue color and its a digital tach. and the new exhaust setup is much much better than the dinky greddy downpipe mated to the greddy evo (in terms of performance and sound).... i'm gonna dyno the car again and see what difference the bigger exhaust made.

why'd you put your EGT in the downpipe? i thought the most accurate readings come from the 3rd runner of the exhaust manifold?

I was going to ask that too.
What is that gauge that has all the fancy looking things on it on the pillar? Take some night shots with them all lit up

you know, at first with that shift light. i didnt like it much. but now it read perfectly and it lights up bright as hell. its pretty nice and reads perfect.
the most accurate do come from the runner. but instead of drilling hole in manifold. he just had it put on the dp when the dp was installed. all you have to do is add 2 or 3 hundred degrees to it and its good.

yup yup, it was easier to do it in the downpipe cuz unbolting the whole turbo system would have been a bitch and a half...

Nice Pare! Those thermal's are sexy! My only advice is to wrap a small portion of that DP or charged pipe to minimize heat transfer via radiant heat.

The EGT bung is not that detrimental. It's true that number 3 runner runs the hottest but really only a couple of hundreds at the most.

Overall a great set-up

Looks good... gotta wonder why you went with 3" exhaust and a 2.5" downpipe... seems like a 3" downpipe wouldda made more sense from a flow-standard.

3" would've been almost impossible to fit there man. I had the same set-up. 2.5 inch to 3 inch will still flow better than 2.5 inch to 2.5 inch...
