Exhaust?
Hey guys, I just got my catback system...it's pretty nice but it's very loud even with the silencer. I was wondering if there is any other way to make it more quiet? Did anyone here that had a loud muffler find a way to make it more quiet?

You can deepen the tone (make it sound quieter) by adding another resonator.
The longer the resonator the deeper the tone will be. |

sorta what i did. My piping didn't come with a resonator and i got one (it's fucking huge and i don't know what kind it is), it got rid of the raspyness and made a little quieter i guess. It seems to get louder when its cold out thoguh, unless its just me.

A good quality muffler will take care of that too. But if you like your muffler, just do what pdigg said

Are there any other alternatives? Hayame gave me a free resonator, so the sound is pretty deep already.
Now sometimes I wish I had 200$ more to get those quieter 5-Zigen catbacks...but whatever...this Hayame set is pretty good. |

You could always put a different muffler on the end too.
(Which is what I did to my thermal.......too bad the damn thing is still in the box ![]() |
