I dont think life could get much worse

So, I'll start when it all begain, Monday night.
11pm: My buddie calls me up and needs a ride home from a party because everyone had been drinking. Normally, I wouldnt care, but I needed to go to bed early because I was taking my grandma to the airport at 5am the next day. Fine, so I go get him. The drive way to this place was crazy...it was so steep i scraped like crazy going in...Ive seen other cars attempt this place and just give up...but being 1/2 asleep at the time I pull in. Dent up my exhaust.
After dropping him off, driving back in the worst rain Ive seen in a long time (lots of flooded parts of the road) I pull into my driveway and at the exact same time my 'skank'/junk2 balljoint takes a big fat shit. So, the money that I had aside for painting the damn fender (which is still primer black) goes to a $250 set of spc joints (no, I am not messing around).
So the next day (tuesday), after the 6hrs of airport fun, I put the stock a-arm in, just as a temp fix...now my wheel sits litterally like \ Fine..whatever
I take it for a test drive and when I get back ups man has dropped off my tires. Finally, a break.
I roll them and my wheels up to discount tire and shell out another $60 to get them mounted and balanced...which though they say "1hr" it takes 2. I take them back, put them on, and think "wow look at that.......those seem too big" They are. I rub like crazy. So, I put some other older springs on, and now am a stock height w/ big ass wheels....I am monster truckin...
Now, since I cant stand this, I can either get springs that are higher, OR get rid of the $1000 I spent on wheels and tires for some smaller ones....which I am SERIOUSLY leaning toward doing. So...anyone want a set of brand spankin new rota c8's and yokohamas?
And to top it all off, with the most grandeur event...my mom tells me that she has breast cancer and even a mastectomy has a very low chance of working.

Fuck life...I cant ever get a break

That realy sucks about your mom. I hope everything will work out all right. You just have to try and be positive and be there for your mom. Also what size are the c8's and yokahamas. Hang in there buddy.

Im sorry to hear about your mom, my mom has had two cases of Colon Cancer, had Radiation therapy the first time then kemo the second. a study shows that my moms side of the family (nearly everyone one of her siblings has had cancer in one part of the body or another) has a defective gene that causes cancer and I have to get tested. I have a 50% chance of being like everyone else or be gauranteed cancer at some point in my life. Cancer is shitty and I almost lost my mother twice of it so I feel ya man. I hope they find something they can do, life's harsh bro

Hey pdiggs, I'm really sorry to hear about everything that happened, especially the bad news about your mom. My mom battled cancer (and won thank God) when I was in high school. It was a really tough time for me and my family, but we got through it. If you need to talk, I'm here.

Take care man, things will get better.

Put the car aside for a bit and spend time with your mom. I hope all goes well, my aunt just recently recovered or I should say is recovering nicely from breast cancer. Hopefully they caught it all in time and something can be done about it. I thought there was only one way to treat this shit but medicen has come so far.

Dude, that's terrible. I agree with the others, your car will always be there but your mom is more important right now. Take some time and spend it with her. She needs you now. Don't worry about anything else. Hang in there buddy. Big hugs.

see...the thing w/ the car is I cant not do something about it because its my daily driver.
Ive pretty much decided to get rid of the stupid wheels for something smaller like some stock si's or if someone has a set of 15" c8's or maybe black slips I'll do that.
We're all kinda pretending that shes fine and I guess she already called for the mastectomy (because Im making her do it regardless, simply for the fact that its better than nothing)...then probably reconstructive surgery after we know its cleared up.
A lot of people say that its pointless for that, but if I had a testicle removed Id have a fake sewn in there just so i could pretend I was normal.

edit**
oh, its a 16" rota w/ 205/45/16 tire......pretty standard issue

Well.....

A) Good luck to your mom
B) 45 series tire, that's your problem....too much meat. My friend got some 18's on 45's (on his '01 Civic) and it looked like he was getting ready to 4-wheel.....dropped down to a 35 series tire and then he was fine......

From a 185/60/14, the 205/40 is the proper tire but 45 is just a tiny bit meatier...a very tiny bit. If I were to get a 40 I know id wreck the wheels on michigan streets

wanna trade ? i have 205/55's on the 15's that are still fairly new, and bronze, etc. I want 16" c's really bad, so maybe youll like the same bronziness on your car, only smaller. get you some tires y0 and youre flossing.

where does it rub ? on the fenders or the outer fenders ? if it's the inner fenders fix the damn camber issue and retract the caster about 1 degree.

well today I went along w/ my mom to the oncologist.
(He was a very strange little man...reminded me a little of the sultan in disney's alladin)
Anyways, he went through all kinds of crap w/ her (I sat outside the office but could hear anyways).
Basically he said that either the mastectomy+rad or the chemo+rad+hack job would yield the same results...and he sounded like he thought it would work...whether he's just good at making people feel better or if he really is optimistic, I dont know.
Plus he gave a prescription for an estrogen blocking hormone...which seems to be the cause for her cancer. She can take it for 5yrs, before it doesnt work anymore.
So...I guess that sounds promising; if at least for right now.

Also...does anyone know the spring rates of ground controls for konis? 4530.02

Man, talk about shitty days, I woke up at about 1400/1430, went to the library to check my emails...something happened and all 40 of my emails were GONE at the blink of my eye...I had to walk in this 110 degree weather to my shop to try to fix it...and the dude that was supposed to help me kept me waiting because he was screwin around with this printer...Im thinkin that my problem is an easy 5 minute fix and BAM....he can go back to his printer...he couldn't fix it. I lost my basketball game and it's all my damn fault, I am tired of walking practically two damnmiles to the damn bathroom...I just wanna go HOME!!!

Honestly PDiggs...I know where yo're at. But trust me...shit can get a LOT worse. I know people will always say "it could always be worse"...trying to make you feel better. But fuck them...I'm not here to make you feel better...just to make you realize that shit could be a lot worse. After my ex left I started thinking shit couldn't get much worse. Then one night a few weeks later I hear a loud thump upstairs in my house. I go up to check it out and my dad andswers the door...says everything was fine. As soon as the door shuts a boom again and I go in to find him on the floor wondering what the hell just happened. His lymphnode had swollen up so big it was partially obstructing the blood to his brain. He'd been diagnosed with lymphoma for almost a year, but two weeks after that night he died at home. So yeah...be careful when think shit can't get any worse cuz it just might.

Yea, things can always get worse...but when everything is happening to you you don't feel that things can get much worse because those little things are all happening to you...I find it sometimes hard to imagine that my day can get worse just because I am having a bad day and Im mad...but once I cool off, like today, I can see that things can get much worse.
Im sorry about your dad...Im sure he was a wonderful person GT...
