what damn idiots...wouldn't it be smarter to have the hatch and hood open the other way...i mean...you get out of the car and you have to walk altheway around to open that shiz...stupid designers...other than that...i think it looks pretty neato...for a concept...now, we all know it's not going to look anything like this later on down the road.

or be quite as powerful as they want, but I agree with the hatch, but hey its a concept and what good would a concept be without the crazy outlandish sh1t

"The Eclipse Concept-E's front wheels are powered by a 3.8-liter V-6 engine that features Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing and lift Electronic Control (MIVEC). Driving the rear wheels is a rear-mounted E-Boost electric motor which provides an additional 200 horsepower, for a total output of 470 horsepower. Because it is not affected by gear changes, the throttle-actuated electric rear motor gives the Eclipse Concept-E a constant source of power when it's needed, which directly translates to higher, more efficient performance."
sounds awesome! no loss of power between shifts...cool

Good gawd that looks gay. And why not make that power all come from one motor? Adding a second "backup" motor just leaves more shit to go wrong.

along the lines that "its planned to look almost as you see it"
then he said something like "the eclipse has always been a tuner's car on the edge" but he didnt like it when I laughed and said "What about the 2001 series?" |

the 2005 Acura RL will be 400 HP combined, 300 Horse and then 2 50 horse electric motors on demand at the rear wheels, All wheel drive with the fuel consumption of 2wd, that's my kind of idea

Didn't this idea pop up on the NSX concept? A real engine that was supplimented by an electric motor? To put it simply, I don't like it. Like I said, it's just more stuff to go wrong and bigger bills when that happens. The NSX was called the worst bang-for-the-buck car available and this is their solution? Why not just make a better engine instead of slapping extra motors where they shouldn't be?

I kind of dig it. I saw some pictures of the concept a little while ago in Car and Driver and I thought it looked pretty cool then. Although, I will never buy another Mitsubishi.
