New V6 6 speed-total replacement

Had a problem with first gear popping out into neutral when using engine braking to go down a steep drive. Of course, could not show mechanic when he went with me.
Left message with svc. mgr. , knowing full well it was just a matter of time until this showed up elsewhere.
Sure enough, I got a call that Honda wanted the trans for a looksee. They acknowledged the problem on 04's, but mine was a late '03.
I have not driven it yet, but I am sure it is fine.
It is a great car, and the general public doesn't even know it exists.
Very happy............Pud

I go down a hill (gravel, less than 10 mph) in first all the time.

I don't ever downshift into first, but I start in first and don't shift out of it

The posting was for information for those with 6 speeds, and obviously Honda knows of the problem. It was not meant as an opportunity to learn how to drive from some meatheads.
