That's low, even for city driving. I'd expect 24-25 city from your car, even driving fairly hard.

In the summer with A/C on I get about 20-22 city. Of course with the A/C on I've gotta give a lot of gas and run the revs a little higher than normal.
In the winter, I enjoy having the A/C off so I just run the revs high and haul ass everywhere for shits and giggles, so I get about 23-25. Sounds to me likes yours is a little on the low side, but not too far off from mine. I could probably get 18 if I tried. ![]() b |

Normal!
So, I use a/c for summer and now it over. I'm using heat for winter. Not as nessary about the gas to use miliages. |

That number still seems low even driving around with the A/C on. Is the car in good condition with regular service and proper pressure in the tires? Do you rev the car a lot, or accelerate hard? All of these things can hurt your mpg. Think about your driving style.

that seems pretty low. i would do a tuneup on the car. that often solves most of the gas mileage/rough idle/ hard shifting problems.

Neh, not oil changes. I think a valve adjustment, etc. that you'd do in a tuneup would help you out. I drive with the A/C on a lot and still get 23-25 in the city.

i have a lead foot on the gas. if i don't spin the tires on take off i stop and take off again, but i always get like 24-26mpg with lots of city driving.

Yeah but I don't think the 6th gen Accords with the big 2.3L are quite as efficient. I know for my car with the 5sp it only gets good gas mileage if you really pamper the car. On the highway I get pretty decent, but that's because of the gear ratios. I also have to downshift just to get up a hill if I'm below 80....again, because of the gear ratios. The gears are way too long causing the incessant need for more gas and higher revs.
I find the older Accords to feel more zippy without quite so much gas. I don't know about the 6th gen Autos. With the A/C on, of course, it's just gas gas gas gas gas to even start moving. :o b |

plugs, coil wires fuel filter, cap and rotor. air filter, tire presure, alignment, timing, o2 sensor. or a heavy foot, thats my problem on back roads. and also A 2.3 liter engine isnt big when you start talking about 3.0 and up then you begin to get into decent size. tho new rx8 are going to have a recall probly do to there engine having problems leaking fluid
