clingin noise

When ever I go into reverse and then into drive or vise versa, when I first go to brake it makes a CLING sound. It does it 1, or 2 times depends, it sounds like something is getting seated and once it clings it stops doing it. Does anyone know what might be the problem something loose maybe, thanks

"cling" sound?

is it short or is it drawn out?

where is the noise coming from?

do you fully stop before you change the gears?

this is an auto correct?
