So we got the car back

well we got my brother's car back (Acura_86) and we already started ordering the parts for it. today i am supposed to call one of the bone yeards around here to get a window, the gauge cluster, and a barke caliper.

here is a list of missing parts from the car:
-Gauge cluster
-Driver's front caliper braket and brake pads
-catalytic converter
-cat-back exhaust system
-altezzas tails
-clear corner lights
-4 speakers
-wheels
-wires from the wiring harness to the taillights
-AEM Cold Air Intake
-center hub from the steering wheel

i already spent like 400 last night for the car: cat-back, clear corners, brake pads catalytic converter (yeah the 400 inclkudes shipping) and today i am hoping not to spend more than $150 for the window, the gauge cluster, the caliper and the missing wiring.

here are some pics of the car after we got it home last night: interior shot

Engine shot: notice stock air intake ( we were gonna drive the car but i noticed the missing caliper so that changed the plans)

Front shot: well the lip damage was done by the tow truck, not those that stole the car

Well I've definately seen worse. WTF would they do with a caliper bracket?

So insurance isn't helping much is it?

EDIT

Is the tow truck driver going to pay for that lip?!?

nope, and they ****ing overcharged us on towing. i talked to them about $65 to tow it to my home and i had to go to work and they ripped my dad for $90. damn ****ers. i am calling them now, plus the lip was half ripped because of me when i asked a dude to lift the whole car with one of those fork lifts

caliper bracket and pads?! really really strange right there....

well at least youve got some of the stuff replaced and its not as bad as many that I have seen...the hood is still there as well as the motor and whatnot, suspension, etc. Look at it this way man...it couldve been a whole lot worse.

Stiff upper lip and get back on the horse (but invest in a set of wheel locks (or 2), and slap a cut off switch on there)

If I were you I'd start looking a LOT closer at all the same gen teg's around...

they OBVIOUSLY stole it to use the parts... so if any of those parts have vin numbers or otherwise are identifiable you could probobly get them back... maybe.

That's a strange list of stolen parts. At least you're going to be able to fix it up again I agree with nonovurbiz, looks like it was stolen for someone who needed specific parts.
