well Im going to vent...if you dont want to hear...er...read...me b*tch just go back and post somewhere else...

Ready? Here it goes

I am really really tired of the shit that always seems to happen to me...Usually people get shit on and then somewhere soon down the road somethings equally good happens...the yin and yang. However, for me that seems to never be the case; I ALWAYS get the yin (thats the black side) but mine doesnt have a white part for balance...its all black baby.

First...I currently am stationed at a building that has completely useless people for workers, besides me. The person who is pseudo-in-charge doesnt do jack...she just sits on her ass all day and calls her husband and friends. Another person is WAAAY to old for this work...he has to be at least 85yrs old...the only work he can do is walk behind an automatic floor machine...these things are self-propelled... Another woman, has to be the dumbest person I have EVER met in my entire existance...normally I wouldnt say this...but she is dumber than a block of wood...with holes in it. She can't do anything without assistance (no she is not mentally retarded...just dumb). The last person, just refuses to work...except when the big boss visits. Now, since I was transfered we have recieved 3 (count them 1, 2, 3) 40ft long 12ft high semi trailers full of new furniture for the building. Since none of these other people do anything, I am the one who unloads ALL of them. Now, the dumb woman was able to push a desk from point a to b...one time...so thats more than I can say for the rest. So, 3 big ass trailers...1 worker...I'll leave the amount of time for you to figure out...Do I get paid the same as these people? HELL NO! I get 1/3 of the pay. Something doesnt add up here...I do all the work and they get more $. I have asked to be transfered elsewhere...no go; this building "needs help" I am told...NO SHIT IT DOES!

Second...I am compeltely sick and tired of not doing anything but work and school. Granted I dont have time for jack on the weekdays, but on the weekends I have 3 days for whatever. Do I do anything? Nope... I sit on my ass weekend-in and weekend-out. Now, youre thinking..."Just do something" I will respond by, "there is nothing to do around here" To be completely honest Im not the outgoing type so I dont have a whole shit load of friends to do things with...but the ones that I do have work on weekends... So, hence all the constant sitting on my ass in boredom. If I do anything, its always by myself...and we all know thats no fun.

Third...Plain and simple: I need to get laid. A GF would be probably even better because then there would most likely mean even more of the "getting laid". It would also be a means of someone to do something with...plus I kinda like that "significant other" thing. But its kinda hard to meet girls when all I have time for is work and class during the week. So on weekends where do chics hang out? And dont tell me clubs...I hate those with a passion. But, I have to go to these places alone, more than likely (the friends working thing) so it probably wouldnt look so good, me hanging out with zero friends..."big-a winna! a+ numba wan"

yeah, I still live here by my school for the summer, while all my firneds are either in my hometown (45 minutes away if I'm lucky with DC traffic) or wherever else they live, all far away....I don't do ANYTHING lately but work, lately....maybe once a week or so I'll be able to coordinate some drinking and such when everyones off work simultaneously, but man this summer is SO boring...I feel your pain dude

hey i feel your pain.....i work 2nd...and since there is a chance of working 12 hours any random time i have to stay up till atleast 4....then i get some sleep...then wake up and go back to work....no time for anything.....

wow...thats gotta suck...you could always date that really dumb girl from your work...seeing how if you have sex..she wont know whats going on...

I can't say that I feel your pain, but I'm sorry to hear about your luck, or I should say, lack there of it. I know I would go crazy if I never got to go out. Maybe you should move. Or maybe you should get a dog. It would not only keep you company when you aren't hanging out with your friends, but it might also help you in the girl department. I can't speak for all girls, but I'm a sucker for a guy with a dog....especially if it's a puppy!

dude pat that sucks....I'm with Erin on gettin the dog thing (if you're not a dog person you could get a cat...but they don't attract girls like puppies do). Cute guys having a puppy does AMAZING things....keeps the guy busy and while you're out walking, you're bound to run into a cute girl that will think your puppy is cute making you automatically attractive.....don't worry girls...this works for us too (well picking up guys not girls). Other than that why don't you look for a new job...or tell you're higher higher up that the people you work with are complete boneheads that don't do any work and if you don't get a raise or a transfer else where, that you're going to quit. Might work...it did for me. And as for the going out thing...you seem like a fairly outgoing guy. I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit. Make some new friends in your classes and hang out with them. It won't kill ya. And you might meet a chick that way too Good luck!

But on a serious note, you should go out man. It doesnt have to be club or bars. I'm over with the club thing myself but I still get to talk to some girls. Find some car buddies. I have all kinds of people constantly calling/emailing me about car stuff and they have friends that are girls. Most of them are not into cars but at least they are there to keep things interesting. If you dont want to go out on clubs, you should go driving on Friday and Saturday nights on where the hot spots are. Do laundry in a public laundrymat. That may sound funny but I have met some interesting girls like that. Find a laudrymat close to a college campus. If everything else fails, go to a "rave". Eventhough you dont like clubs. Rave is really different in my opinion tho....You'll surely meet somebody....trust me . Be the only person who's sober and you'll get some attention. Talk to them! A lot of things happen in a "rave" that many dont see unles they go to it and see it on their own. The dog thing that our F&F F's discussed is such a bright idea. Take your dog to a park.

The job thing, lazy people are all over this world man. I deal with all kinds of it everyday in my Navy life. Dont lose hope. Things will get better......

write a proposal for how you could make your building run more effeciently by letting you run it...

ask for a reasonable amount (less than the current manager) and explain who is lacking where....

then explain how you would fix it with out any more money.

I do have a dog...but she doesnt behave well enough to be in public. I never got around to training her when she was a puppy and now she just jumps around at people if given the chance. Plus she only knows how to walk at turbo speed...hard for me to walk and keep up.

The job thing is just something I have to put up with until the end of next month, after that I am back to random 8hr shifts at night...and no real work...so I guess I just have to deal with it.

I just need to go out regardless...

Oh, and starting today, my driving chi has been f**ked up beyond belief...all shifts are rough, cant get comfortable in the seat, and I stalled 4 times today...I havent done that in forever. Does this happen to everyone else too?

i stalled today too. It's all good tho. My aluminum Mugen shifter was so hot when I was trying to shift...he he he.. This hot whether is irritating the crap out of me.

I agree. Write to the "Big Boss" and explain the problems. Don't make personal attacks on the current employes, rather suggest how you could better manage these lumps. If that doesn't work, I'd be looking for a new job. Money is one thing, but happiness is another. I am in a new job, and not getting paid that well, but I love it and feel good about myself.
