To Paint old car or buy new

I have a 1990 Honda Accord that just turned 100,000 miles.
It has the typical rust starting around the wheel wells. I was quoted $700.00 to do the body work and paint the whole car.
I was wondering if with 100,000 miles it would be worth it to paint the car. How long do these 1990 circa Accords seem to be lasting?

when it's bubbled off it's thru the metal. you will need to cut and weld it.

Painting

It went in today to Maaco. They are taking care of all the rust and repainting the entire car white again.
I looked around at BUNCH of used cars, and it seems like Quaker Oatmeal" It;s the right thing to do..to re-paint it and get another 100,000 out of her.

Has anyone had any experience with the custom air boxes?
Are they worth the investment ie: do you get any more power/gas mileage afterwards?

"anyone know how to get rid of it before it eats through the metel....it's starting to bubble but not eaten through yet" yea go to pepboys(STAY AWAY FROM 2F2F STUFF THERE!) and thay sell this acid that prevents more rust from forming... i used it on a project 65 ford f100 and it worked good.. but be carefull with it!! it will burn right thu ur skin, and dont breathe it in.. i did that and was coughing up blood.. not good.. but if its bubbleing up then its too late for that area.. but use it in other places to prevent it.. hahah i love living in the souf.....no salt for me..
