f22 vtec

ok i've got another ? i have the 91 accord with very high miles, it runs good for a car with so many mile but i want to do a swap. i want to put the F22 SOHC vtec into my baby. how difficult would this be?

It would be an easy swap, but I wouldn't bother. Have you considered putting in an H22? If you're after more power, that's the way to go...

well you can get a f22b2 and build it from there. more money, not that much potential but a lot more original

the sohc vtec f22 is called the f22b1 and the non vtec is f22b2, and yes i would recomend a h22

you could get a f22 for anywhere from 1-$900 and a h22 from 2-$3000, yes you could swap in a f22 easy but there will be small gains 145hp compared to the h22 200hp monster. If your going to spend about a grand for the labor on an engine swap you might as well save up for an h22 because it's not worth to swap the engine for 10-15hp.

All depends on what your wanting. If you just want to not spend a lot of money and get a engine that will make your car alst longer then get the f22b1 if you want lot of power(like we all do) then get the h22a. Just think about what your goals are and decide. You could also ge the h23 which is cheaper and more powerful than teh f but les powerful than the h22a

And realize, even if you put an H22 in your Accord, it's not going to be *fast*...
