Talking about Wheel Drives.

AWD is a safer, because they can get out from the mud, if they got struck.

FWD is safer for the bad weather, but unable to get out from the muds or get struck.

RWD can be drifting all the roads, but not safe on the bad weather.

I prefer AWD is must better and also I like FWD.

What u think about the wheel drives on your car?

I've never been in a AWD before, had my hopes up for sometime because my friend was gonna get a Impreza WRX Turbo....but he got a 03 Cavy because his mom was being a b1tch.....FWD is fun for me, but again thats only probably because I've never driven a AWD

FWD sucks if you like to drive. Requires CV joints (a pain, but once automakers figured them out not a big deal), but you can mount the engine sideways and take up less room as compared to RWD.

The driving difference is all about weight shift. RWD => more acceleration traction. FWD => understeer, which is arguably safer than oversteer for the unskilled (typical) driver. Also torque steer, a nasty effect of having nothing common between the motor and drive wheels.

AWD is not what you want for off-roading - you want true 4wd. AWD is nice for cornering or accelerating with traction, though.

Living in Oklahoma, my front wheel drive has shone through the storms time after time after time!

In the neighborhood I used to live in, it was a really hilly road & when it iced over in December, all my neighbors where off in the ditches left & right. Not me though...I tootled on through and they were all givin me the death look!!!

They hated me anyway tho b/c I used to no less than 90 down my neighborhood street every time I passed through. WHich was about 7 times per day.

They just hated me worse after that. I smiled and waved as they were waitin for the wreckers...

Exactly how often do you plan on getting stuck in the mud? Here's the key, just because you have awd, or 4wd, doesn't help you stop any better, it just gets you going better.

4wd will help you crash at higher speeds, thats all its really good for if you live in the city.

I want rwd and will be getting a car with rwd shortly because frontwheel drive is ok but not as much fun. I'll keep the fwd baby for the winter and for cruising but rwd is SOO much better for racing and drifting.
