![]() Well as many of you know we got our first real taste of winter weather in Memphis overnight, and it wasnt fun... I have been lazy so I havent gotten around to putting my mud-tires on, so I've still got the bridgestone potenzas on there... well lets just say it wasnt fun driving on icy slush with summer tires on... there were more cars hitting curbs today than Ive ever seen... even with my awd it was slippery, and all the rwd cars were spinning out, but most fwd ones were ok... funny when ice comes to a place not used to it- I just dont see how you people in northern areas can stand having it snow/ice so much, it is hell and now my car looks like ass

i consider speed tires to be the same as summer tires... btw, z-rated tires are good for 149mph... I think mine are V or something, cant remember right now, but same basic thing only mine arent enforced as much

i dont know which ones they are teh new tread pattern. brian actually did something right for a change! all i know is that they ran me 55 per tire and that was acura dealer cost. which i thought was a good deal.

dude 2 inches is nothing. We got 5-9 inches ealier in the week and that didn't even slow things down. I wish they never cleared the streets it would make things so much more fun. But putting sand down is useless unless its too cold to use salt. Salt is more effective because of its melting, where as sand only helps if there is ice and it is too cold for the ice to melt the snow. Yes I know a little somethign about snow.. i'm Candian Eh!

yeah, I know 2 inches isnt much, but we dont have hardly any salt/sand trucks here and people arent used to it, so it made for havoc... just imagine the panic that would ensue in canada if there was a 100+ heat wave that lasted a month...
