Multiple issues...

This is for a 1993 Civic VX (1.5L, VTEC-E).

Anyhow, the first issue is that I can't get one of the fuel filter fittings off. See pics below.


Any ideas? its not liek I can torch it or cut it. Gas tends to blow up.

Part 2. What can cause a miss to occur? I've replaced the plugs, plug wires, dist. cap & rotor.

Part 3. Oil consumption. I'm thinking bad rings or pistons. Anything else?

I have a new head sitting in my garage for this but I wanted to test the compression first. Can't do that because the fuel fitting leaks like crazy.
