can you turbocharge a d16z6 with 85k miles?

i have a 93 civic with a d16z6.... a friend of mine's dad makes turbos for lier jets and he says he can get me a turbo for 350 bucks just for the turbo.

I was kinda skeptical at first but about 3 months ago my friend put two of them on his rx7 and now he is pushing over 450hp.

they are running great for him... but the question i have is could i throw one on my civic or is my engine to puny and old to use one?

if so what mods would i need for my engine exhaust ect????

thanks
